Chicago Store: The real “GPS Academy”

IcstorethumbnailHere in the Chicago Store, we recently started offering a free, one-hour, one-on-one training session with each GPS unit purchased. These training sessions are designed to help the new Garmin owner get better acquainted with their new purchase. One of our ultra-knowledgeable product experts will sit down with you and familiarize you with the unit, explain what the features and menus do, and show you that with your Garmin, you don’t just get there, you arrive. Whether you are buying a simple eTrex, a Forerunner 305, or even a GPSMAP 496, we’ll take the time to sit down and show you how to use it. Ask a sales associate, or call the store for more details.

We also have two big events coming up in the next two weeks. First, as Roger has already mentioned, we’ve got our big Aviation Event on July 11, from 6-9 p.m. We have an impressive lineup of speakers on the agenda, including the FAA, Julie Boatman from AOPA Pilot Magazine, and one of our Regional Sales Managers.

Just as we begin to recover from what will surely be a stellar Aviation Event, we’ve got another one all lined up. On Saturday, July 14, Bart Yasso, Editor of Runners World, will be back to put on another one of his excellent seminars. Joining him will be Carey Pinkowski, Executive Race Director for the Chicago Marathon. We’ll be starting at 8:30 a.m. with a 3, 5, or 7-mile run down the beautiful Chicago lake front, and then back to the store to get started with the presentations. Hope to see you there!
