Canadian Fishing Team Continues Winning in 2014

Imagejpeg_21Chris and Cory Johnston have had quite the summer.  We've told you about how well they've done in numerous Canadian fishing tournaments but they haven't stopped that momentum.  They haven't been content with excelling in the tournaments that Canada has to offer, so now they're turning their sights towards the U.S.

Last weekend, Chris and Cory fished the Bass Pro Shops Northern Open on Lake St. Clair outside of Detroit.  Fishing primarily for smallmouth bass, Chris finished the 3-day tournament in third place and Cory in fifth.  As a result, Chris pulled in around $13,000 and Cory netted just under $10,000.  Not too bad for three days of fishing!

Imagejpeg_2On their boat, Chris and Cory and using the latest in Garmin marine technology.  On board, they used 2 GPSMAP 1040xs chartplotters, a GCV 10 sounder black box (for DownVu and SideVu sonar) and LakeVu HD Ultra cartography, showing incredible detail of the lakes they're fishing.

As usual, congratulations to Chris and Cory on the stellar job they're doing.  Keep up the great work!
