BlueChart Mobile 1.4 Update, iOS 7 Compatible
Last week, BlueChart Mobile was updated to version 1.4. The update brought iOS 7 compatibility and some great new features:
More ActiveCaptain Integration – With a database full of content generated and accessed by over 100,000 boaters, more ActiveCaptain content and capability has been added to BlueChart Mobile. With ActiveCaptain Point Create, you can add marinas, hazards, points of interest or any local tips to the ActiveCaptain database. You will also be able to edit and update POI data and see user ratings of locations from the BlueChart Mobile radial menu, keeping information as up-to-date as possible.
"Navigate To" Enhancement – Now, you can use the Navigate To command from BCM and it will send the command to your Garmin chartplotter. Pick a point of interest and be on your way.
Weather Data Sharing – Is the weather going to be a little choppy? Is there a potential storm brewing where you're located? You can send weather observations and forecasts from BlueChart Mobile via email, Facebook and Twitter to help keep yourself and others safe.
