Mountain Bike

As bike parks are opening for the summer season, bikers all over the country are gearing up and researching their next cycling destination. There are numerous trails for those of you wanting an easy and enjoyable ride, but some are looking for their next challenge. For those who live on the edge, check out our list of the craziest, most physically demanding mountain bike trails in North America.

  1. Whistler Mountain Bike Park: The Mountain has intense terrain like no other park in the world. Everywhere at Whistler Mountain is extreme, but Peak Zone is the craziest. It is famous for alpine riding complete with switchback corners and high-speed descents.  It even has areas that are too steep and intense for skiers to ride on in the winter.
  2. Deadman’s Ridge:  As the name implies, this trail will test your slow-speed balance and endurance. These technical trails dance up-and-over rocks to a high point with a stunning view of Arches National Park in Moab, Utah.
  3. Downieville: One of the most insane trails in California, there are two ways of riding this trail. You can start in Sierra City with a demanding 8-mile climb, or take a shuttle and fly down the adrenaline pumping 13-mile steady decline.

No matter which trail you choose, you are sure to get an intense workout and exciting ride. Don’t forget to bring your Edge device or Garmin multisport watch like fenix 3 or Forerunner 920xt. Make sure to share your adventures with us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram using #HaveNoLimits.
