Bad luck to blow over in the Windy City
Elliott Sadler said it best himself last week when commenting on the undeserved 39th-place finish on the race at Daytona – "Man, we just can’t catch a break." The No. 19 Best Buy team definitely put up a good fight before the unfortunate cut tire ruined the team’s night, as they became one of the fastest cars on the track 45 laps into the race. But on lap 109, the No. 19 Dodge hit the wall, causing heavy damage to the right side of the car. The race was over before the team was able to repair the damaged car. After last weekend, Elliott is currently 25th in drivers points in the Sprint Cup series. To date, Elliott has had four top-10 finishes and seven top-10 starts this season.
Today, the team is gearing up to take on the Chicagoland Speedway for Saturday’s Chicagoland 400. Chicagoland is a 1.5-mile, D-shaped tri-oval speedway, and while Elliott admits that at Chicago, drivers have to watch himself coming off of turn four, he is hoping to get the Best Buy team the finish it deserves. Be sure to set your TV to TNT Saturday night and cheer on the team!
