Approach S1 makes TV debut in new Garmin ad

ApproachS1 Golfers and retailers alike are sharing their praise for Approach S1, Garmin's first golf GPS watch with more than 15,000 preloaded golf courses. And now even more people will learn about the amazing features and ease of use that Approach S1 has to offer, thanks to a new ad that will be running on the Golf Channel. Keep an eye out for it there, and you can watch it here and at the GarminBlog YouTube channel.

"I recently purchased the Approach S1 and played with it a few days ago," wrote MJ in an email to the Garmin inbox. "I charged the battery, went to the course, turned it on, it recognized the course and away I went down the fairway. I also have a laser and found the yardages to be right on. The measure your shot feature is great especially if you want to find yardages to certain points on the course for future rounds. It wears like a watch so no need to grab it out of your pocket, golf bag, golf cart, etc."

And from the retail perspective: "At the Golf Rangefinder Shop, we had predicted that the Garmin S1 would be a huge hit this year," wrote Val B., "and it recently went to the top of our leaderboard based on user ratings. The simple devices that get the job done are always the favorites and since you never have to hook this GPS watch up to a computer, you're going to have a lot of happy customers. Well done Garmin."
