My husband gave me a Garmin StreetPilot for Christmas. At that time, I was not really thrilled as that I was hoping for something more personal like jewelry. But, it was last Friday that really demonstrated that my husband’s gift was not only practical but stress relieving. Last Friday, there was a terrible accident in the Boston area. It was about 8AM and I could see the traffic back up and the radio announcer said that if you didn’t have to go to work today, the best bet would be to turn around and go home because this accident was going to jam traffic for the rest of the day. I chose detour on my StreetPilot and it gave me another route. The alternate route (which I was unfamiliar with) likely saved me over an hour of time!
