A perfect fit….

Take a look at this great installation on a Cape Horn 36 out of St. Petersburg, FL: twin GPSMAP 5215 displays that fit perfectly on the dashboard…it looks like they were made for that space! These displays are HUGE, 15″ diagonal screens that let the owner see what ever he wants – GPS, radar, sonar or live XM weather on either screen. When we went for a test run the XM weather was incredible; showing rain and storms to the north, we had just enough time to make sure everything was working fine. The GMR 18HD radar worked great as a stand alone radar and looked even better with the radar/chart overlay. The new HD radars are incredible… we actually picked up a few pelicans that flew in for a visit, and we were pinging boats and buoys with ease. The customer also chose the TR-1 Autopilot to help him drive straight as an arrow as he heads offshore to his favorite fishing hole. He even selected a Garmin GPSMAP 440 as a stand alone unit to provide his Digital Selective Calling enabled VHF Radio with position data. The new software release available for all 4000 and 5000 series, Version 4.10, provides a ton of new features for the units. It also allows the user to customize the screen a bit more and see the information that they want to see. Download the new software for free from Garmin onto an SD card and drop it into your own unit to see the improvements for yourself.

Overall this is an incredible fishing machine, and I know the customer is looking forward to a great summer of fun!
