If your clanking car is drowning out the sounds of Spring, it may be time to visit your local car dealership. However, before making the plunge for a new car with an expensive in-dash GPS system, take a look at today’s column from the Detroit News. According to them, in-dash navigation systems are going the way of the old mobile phones that were hard-wired into vehicles. Several showrooms in the U.S. and Europe are giving customers the choice between in-dash or portable GPS systems. Hyundai, Honda, Ford, BMW and Saab (just to name a few) sell Garmins from the showroom floor.
