A Disappointing Sunflower Showing
Craftsman Truck Series driver Chad McCumbee knows that somewhere over the rainbow, there’s a top five finish for him — it just wasn’t meant to happen in Kansas last weekend. After running the first half of the race as a contender to win, battery and alternator issues plagued The GPS Store – Garmin #08 Silverado, causing the team a costly three- lap pit stop and an ultimate 27th-place showing. But the crew is encouraged, because after the electrical problems were fixed, Chad continued to post lap times that were comparable to the top five finishers. Here’s hoping for better luck at Lowe’s Motor Speedway on May 18th.
