50k Record Holder and Olympian Team Up For Garmin Marathon Speaker Series
On April 19th, U.S. 50k record holder Josh Cox and Olympic Marathoner Desi Davila will be teaming up during the Garmin Marathon expo Speaker Series. These two world class runners will chat, in a town hall format, about what it's like being elite runners. You'll have the chance to ask questions directly to these two decorated Garmin athletes about their training, their experiences and almost anything else about their running careers. We'll have exact timing in the coming days about the rest of our speaker series and topics for you to enjoy. For those who might have last minute product questions, we'll have some of our rock-star Product Support crew on hand during the expo to help you out before the gun goes off the next morning!
Have you thought about your race-day attire? Over the past two years, we've seen some pretty creative Oz-themed costumes worn by runners. We challenge you to be creative and get into character while running the Garmin Marathon, Half Marathon or 5k. Our AMAZING volunteers will be battling for the most creative aid stations themselves, so why not run by them in costume? Just be sure to fit in a, "Thank you for helping out", between breaths, as you pass by.
It's not too late to sign up for the Pasta Dinner, where we will listen, in awe, to one of the best runners of all time, Scott Jurek. Our friends at Runner's World recently placed the World's greatest runners of all time in a bracket to see who would come out on top, and Jurek made it into the top eight of all-time!!! This guy is the REAL DEAL. He's not only an amazing athlete, yet he is also one cool dude with lots of stories and advice for runners of all levels.
