XM Services Expanding
For those of you who have XM NavTraffic or are thinking about getting it, here’s something that’ll sweeten the pot. XM recently announced that they’re expanding NavTraffic coverage in 13 additional markets, bringing the total to 44 markets nationwide. XM NavTraffic delivers real-time traffic information to vehicle navigation systems so that driver can see current traffic conditions on the nav screen, such as traffic speeds, accident locations, and road closings. Garmin units that are enabled with XM NavTraffic can dynamically route drivers around traffic tie-ups.
But wait! There’s more! XM also says it’s also developing a service that monitors parking lots across North America. So after you navigate the highways, avoid the traffic, and dodge the weather, you’ll be assured you’ve got a parking spot waiting for you.
