White Marlin Open – winner takes home another Garmin Grand
The 39th Annual White Marlin Open wrapped up last week in Ocean City, Maryland, where the Garmin crew was on hand to give away another $1000 through the Garmin Grand Giveaway! Despite some unfavorable weather, the fishing was hot all week. When it was all said and done, William Woody took home first place for his 72-pound white marlin on the "Blew Bayou," which was equipped with a full Garmin package, including a GPSMAP 5212 and GPSMAP 4212, GSD 22 digital sounder and a GMR 406xHD open array. Total payout for this tournament win was in excess of 1.4 million dollars! The White Marlin Open marks the fifth Garmin-sponsored tournament where we've given away a Garmin Grand – and we hope to do it again at the Pirate's Cove Billfish Tournament which starts this week.
