Victor’s Vectors: Garmin hovers into Heli-Expo with new products
Helicopter pilots had a chance to see Garmin's new helicopter products for the first time earlier this week at Heli-Expo. Whether looking at the products in Garmin's booth or in helicopters on static display, the G500H and HTAWS for the 430W / 530W were magnets that pilots seemed to gravitate to. One of the most common questions we received at the show is why we're entering the helicopter marketing. The answer is that we saw a need and knew that our products could help save lives — especially those involving controlled flight into terrain (CFIT).
