Victor’s Vectors: Batch database updates now available for G3X and G300
FlyGarmin.com, Garmin’s aviation database update website, is continuing to go through changes as it evolves to best meet our aviation customers’ needs. Instructional videos on the operation of the website have been added on Garmin’s training center and are now embedded to the home page when a customer signs in to the website. The home page now continually scrolls through banners with useful information such as announcing database bundles, flight planning, and pilot my-cast, and device training. The device downloads are also being updated regularly.
One such recent change is that batch updates, multiple database downloads, are now available for the G300 and G3X systems. This is a great feature that has been available for other products like the G1000 and allows a customer with multiple subscriptions to download the different updates at the same time instead of downloading the different subscriptions separately. This saves time, a little hassle and gets pilots in the air that much sooner. Stay tuned as FlyGarmin continues is transformation.
