Up front in the Phenom 100
Garmin and the G1000 are taking another step forward into the cockpits
of the future. Embraer recently announced that the Phenom 100 has
received type certification from Brazil’s National Civil Aviation
Authority and the United States’ Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
At the front of this new airplane is Prodigy, which is Embraer’s name
for the G1000 flight deck. Embraer’s Prodigy avionics suite has large,
beautiful 12” displays for the primary flight displays (PFD) and
the multi-function display (MFD). With this system, pilots of the
Phenom 100 are going to be treated to one of the most advanced flight
decks in its class. With Embraer expecting to begin deliveries soon,
you’re sure to catch a glimpse of the Phenom 100 and Prodigy flight deck
at an airport near you.
