Triathlete tales: Consistency pays off

My Forerunner 405 went to work double time this past week as I logged my largest run week to date.  I know that mileage alone is not everything, but even with a bunch of quality (and plenty difficult) sessions, I am quite impressed with the way that my body not only withstood the volume, but really flourished under the fatigue from it. I was rather shocked when I did finally tally up the numbers. Stay tuned for all of those workouts to make their way on to my account.

This week looks to be more of the same: lots of volume, lots of intensity and lots of chances to test myself. That is, after all, what it is all about. I’m trying to be as consistent in my training as possible since the lack of consistency has definitely been a problem in previous years. The consistency in the amount of training is already paying off, but now it is time to not only get through the volume, but to do it at an optimal performance level as often as possible. That is when the big results will start to come!
