Traveling through the least explored areas of the Colombian Amazon
Chris Korbulic is one of the newest members of the Garmin family. Chris is an avid kayaker, photographer, and world adventurer. He has been tackling amazing expeditions all around the world. On these travels, while carrying an inReach Explorer, Chris is able to update his MapShare page for everyone to follow along. Amazon Unexplored is the mission of an elite team of the world’s most experienced expedition kayakers to descend the length of the Apaporis River, one of the last undocumented expanses of the Colombian Amazon. The month-long expedition starting, March 25th, includes an international team: Jules Domine (FR), Ben Stookesberry(USA), Chris Korbulic (US), Aniol Serrasolses (ES), and Jessie Rice (US). Amidst a newfound peace at the end of a 52-year war, their collective mission is to promote an emerging reconciliation in a once war-torn land, document new flora and fauna in an undisturbed ecosystem, interact and collaborate with the ancient riparian culture; and ultimately, overcome the risks and adversities of completing this expedition.
