Tour of Missouri: Stage 2 start

T_of_m_015Team Garmin was greeted with open arms (and sunny skies) at the start of Stage 2 this morning in Clinton for the Tour of Missouri. Fans, photographers and race spectators alike greeted the team as they geared up for today’s 126-mile stage that finishes in Springfield. As fans scoped out the bikes,  riders were quick to tout the features of the Edge 705, sharing their favorite aspects while en route. Danny Pate told one reporter the map screen is his favorite, as it allows him to see when the next turn is coming and as a result, a change in wind direction. Before the Edge 705 this information was only available to the riders through their radios, which depended on team directors deciphering maps and describing them clearly. Stage 2 is set to wrap up around 4 pm… check back here for more pictures from the course and the finish line.
