Top International Courses to Golf with the Approach S6

A few weeks ago we looked at our favorite places to golf in the United States. Now we’ve selected some our favorite courses from around the world. With 39,000 preloaded courses worldwide, it’s hard not to think about golfing at a beautiful course somewhere far away. With that in mind, here is our latest list of top international courses you should play with your Approach S6.

Carnoustie

Carnoustie Golf Links (Championship) - Carnoustie, Scotland

One of the many gems of Scotland, this beautiful course is in the rotation for the Open Championship every few years. Playing from the back tees at 7,400 yards, Carnousite can be a true golf test especially if the wind is blowing hard off the North Sea.

National Golf Club of Canada

National G.C. of Canada- Woodbridge, Ontario, Canada

The beautiful course in Ontario shows off narrow, tree-lined fairways. You must be extremely accurate off the tee to get near the green. This course is often overlooked since there are so many great courses in the United States. Still, it lives up to the hype as one of the top courses in Canada.

Royal Birkdale

Royal Birkdale Golf Club – Southport, England

Another stunning United Kingdom layout filled with history from The Open Championship. The fairways are flat and give you plenty of roll when dry. When the wind is howling, it can be a punishing challenge for the average golfer to hit long tee shots.

New South Wales

New South Wales Golf Club – Sydney, Australia

New South Wales is a beautiful club in southeast Australia. The course features lightning fast greens and bunkers that line the fairways. Overall it’s a stern test of golf throughout the round that could hurt your handicap.

We’ve listed off a few of our favorite courses, but we’re sure we’ve missed some great ones. Tell us about great golf excursions with your Approach S6 on our Garmin social media pages!
