The Garmin Store heads to Michigan!
I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned it in past blogs, but we have spent the last couple of months preparing for a HUGE event in northern Michigan next week. Garmin and the Michigan Department of Natural Resources will be hosting a Geocaching Event at Burt Lake State Park in Indian River, MI. The event will take place on Tuesday, August 14th and will be composed of a morning session (8 a.m.) and an afternoon session (1 p.m.). The event will go like this: Upon registration, you will receive a list of coordinates and clues with a blank line to write a tag-number. When the event begins, you will head out and locate each of the points and write down the tag number at each location. The first person to locate all of the points and make it back to the registration will win a GPSMAP 60CSx. We will also have prizes for 2nd and 3rd place. After the event, we will be holding a raffle for a few other Garmin outdoor units, some Garmin gear, and some sweet Michigan DNR Tote-bags. So mark your calendars, grab your Garmin, and head to Indian River, MI!
