Team Garmin shows off roster, sense of humor

The Q&A session – which gave Dave Zabriskie, Mike Friedman and Wiggins a chance to entertain the crowd and David Millar and Christian Vande Velde a chance to energize the crowd – wasn’t the only opportunity for audience interaction as items were auctioned and raffled. The first item up for bid was the first official membership of the Argyle Club, which offers Garmin discounts, a free Chipotle burrito each week for a year as well as Team Garmin gear. Soon we’ll be sharing more information about how you can join the Club and become an integral part of the team. Also on the auction block were one of Vande Velde’s bikes from France and his Giro d’Italia maglia rosa. The highlight of the raffle came when one of the youngest fans in the audience walked up to the stage with her dad to claim their prize: a 2008 team edition Felt F1 road bike, complete with Shimano Dura-Ace, Zipp 303 wheels, wireless PowerTap and, of course, a Garmin Edge 705.
