    One of your faithful blog editors spent the last few days up in northern Minnesota on an annual ruffed grouse and woodcock hunting trip.  Unlike our recent trip to the Nebraska Sandhills, terrain in the northland is punctuated by thick, punishing forests of birch, and aspen intermixed with pines and hardwoods.  The best hunting is where you literally can't see more than 20 yards...
