Summer Adventure Contest: week 8 winner!
This week’s Big Summer Adventure sweepstakes winner told a familiar tale that we always enjoy hearing about. Along with 60 of his colleagues, this week’s winner spent a part of his summer vacation educating teachers and administrators on ways of using GPS in the classroom. As GPS is becoming increasingly popular in the classroom, these educators spent two days learning what GPS is really all about, and even participated in a multi-virtual geocaching activity for their recess. With a Garmin GPS in hand, E.Gorny and these Belleville, IL educators and administrators participated in six hours of GPS instruction and training to prepare for back to school in the fall.
Now that’s what I call a great way to spend part of your summer vacation! We’re always thrilled to hear about GPS in the classroom and thank this group of teachers for sharing their story with us.
