Just in time for some Spring Skiing, the Garmin fēnix 2 has a dedicated Ski-Board mode that puts GPS data at your fingertips while shredding on the mountain. Ski-Board mode calculates 3-D speed and distance, which includes both horizontal distance and vertical drop. While in Ski-Board mode, the watch can tell the difference between going down the mountain and up the lift, so it can auto count the runs you take on the mountain.

Fēnix  2 captures data like time, distance, max speed, and vertical drop, and even has a fabric extender strap, so it can be worn over your ski coat, so you can easily see the watch and data screens.

You can even use fēnix 2 as a remote for Garmin VIRB and VIRB Elite action cameras, so you’ always know when VIRB is recording, then you can overlay that data using VIRB Edit to make an awesome skiing or snowboarding video to share with friends and family.

If you’ll be doing any more skiing this season, be sure to check out fēnix 2!
