Sailors: Get Excited About Garmin’s 2015 Marine Lineup
With sailing season in full swing, we at Garmin want to make sure that you have every tool necessary to not only keep you safe on the water, but also to give you the best experience possible. Last winter, we announced a plethora of new products that are sure to make that happen.
GPSMAP 7400/7600 Series Chartplotters
Designed for the avid sailor or serious racer who demands high performance, ease of operation, and feature integration. The new GPSMAP 7400/7600 series paired with a gWind wind sensor will help you sail more efficiently with special sailing features that include laylines, wind gauges and graphs, enhanced wind rose, heading and course-over-ground lines, true wind data fields, and tide/current/time slider.
Racing specific features include pre-race guidance, synchronized race timer, virtual starting line, time to burn, and lay line data fields. All this, plus total integration with your onboard sailing network via NMEA 2000, Garmin Marine Network and built-in Wi-Fi connectivity. The beautiful, crystal-clear GPSMAP 7400/7600 chartplotters are available in a variety of sizes from 7, 8, 10, 12, and 16 inch touchscreens.
GNX 120/130
The 7” GNX 120 and 10” GNX 130 instruments have large, easy-to-read displays and are designed for serious sailors like you who demand quality, precision and total integration that will also look great on your boat. The GNX 120 has an optional custom bracket system that creates a beautiful “glass mast” display. Of course, both are equipped with NMEA 2000, which allows flawless sharing of sailing data between Garmin devices, and can also display information from tactical navigation software.
GHP Reactor Autopilot Series
With its advanced solid-state 9-axis Attitude Heading Reference System (AHRS), the GHP Reactor autopilot holds your course even when your boat is pitching and rolling in rough water. Everyone on board enjoys a more comfortable ride while heading error, course deviation, rudder movement, and power consumption are minimized.
