#RunAMile is an initiative that’s geared towards encouraging everyone of all ages to get up and run a mile. The event promotes the message that running can be fun and is an important aspect of overall well-being.
We have teamed up with Partnership for a Healthier America and Jenny Fletcher to host a chat about this important initiative. Partnership for a Healthier America is devoted to working with the private sector to ensure the health of our nation’s youth by solving the childhood obesity crises. Jenny Fletcher is a professional triathlete and earned her first victory at the 2012 IRONMAN 70.3 Branson. We’re all excited to spark up the conversation and speak with all of you about the importance of running.
All you need to do to be entered to win a brand new Forerunner 225 is join us for the #RunAMile Twitter chat. The Forerunner 225 uses an optical sensor (using Mio Heart Rate Technology) to determine your heart rate. In addition to using GPS to calculate distance and pace, the Forerunner 225 has a built-in accelerometer. This means you can capture your data when you’re running on an indoor track or treadmill without the need for a separate foot pod accessory. Click here to read all of the rules.
