Roger’s Runway: Summer seminars
This past Saturday I was able to attend a sales seminar with one of our regional sales managers. The seminar was hosted by Tomlinson Avionics in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. While the temperature was hovering close to 90 degrees with the humidity pretty much matching that, the turn out was excellent. About 15 planes and 3 helicopters brought in nearly 40 people to hear the latest in Garmin portables and panel mounted products. Following a fly-in breakfast of donuts and coffee (it does not take much to convince pilots to fly) the seminar kicked off at 10:00 a.m. After the presentation, the regional sales manager gave a quick demonstration on several scenarios using the GNS 500 simulator that can be downloaded from the Garmin website. Everyone in attendance had excellent questions and was excited about seeing the G600. After the seminar, everyone was treated to hot dogs and chips completing what a Saturday in the summer should be.
