Yesterday at EBACE, Cirrus announced that they have selected our glass cockpit as an option for the Cirrus SR-22-G3. Cirrus has named the avionics Cirrus Perspective, and it brings some new features to the market. The SR-22-G3 is the first single engine piston aircraft that will have dual Attitude Heading and Reference System (AHRS). Having dual AHRS was once only reserved for people flying turbine powered aircraft. Another enhancement that was added is the “Level Mode,” which is a large blue button you can push to level the wings. Once the Level Mode button has been pushed the wings will roll level and the airplane will also go zero climb and zero descent. If you have been reading the blog for the last month, then you have seen the Synthetic Vision Technology (SVT) that Garmin announced at Sun ‘n Fun.  Well SVT is a standard option on the Perspective – giving you even another level of safety. The Perspective will truly give you a new perspective on flying and flying safely!
