Recap of the 2015 Lake Nona Impact Forum
This last week, Garmin was an official sponsor at the 2015 Lake Nona Impact Forum in Orlando, Florida. This annual forum is an exclusive experience that connects over 200 business thought leaders that are championing the way for innovating new health and wellness solutions.
The forum took place at various locations around the beautiful 7,000 acres that is Lake Nona. With world renowned guest speakers such as Arianna Huffington, Co-Founder and Editor-in-Chief of The Huffington Post, and Alex Gorsky, CEO of Johnson & Johnson, the event was tremendously inspirational. To add to that list, there were representatives from BlackBerry, Cisco, CNN, Comcast NBC Universal, CVS Health, GE Appliances,Jamba Juice, Nestle, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts and more. This year, Garmin had a fundamental role in the Lake Nona Impact Forum. To contribute to the overall awareness of health and wellness at the event, we outfitted nearly 140 attendees with our vívofit activity tracker for a month long challenge that will conclude in March. The vívofit challenge had people talking about the benefits of our wearables and the importance of staying in motion while having a busy lifestyle. We understand the challenges that come with sustaining health, which is why we were so honored to be an integral part at the event this year.
Lake Nona was a picturesque experience for anyone who attended and we can’t wait to see the results from participants who competed in the challenge!
