Ready, restart and go
Perform a quick reset by holding down the reset/lap button and the mode button to get your unit back up to speed. On the original Forerunner models (x01), hold down the reset and power buttons. If you have the Forerunner 205 or 305 and you experience a lock-up after removing it from the charging cradle, perform the unlock sequence and then update your device software if needed. Check the Garmin website to see if there’s a new software version available for your device. To check the software version on your Forerunner, go to: main menusettingsgeneralabout Forerunner. On the Edge, go to: main menusettingssystemgeneralabout Edge. If you’re due for an update, use the following link to access our WebUpdater, which will allow you to update your Edge or Forerunner device with the most current software available.
