Pro Staffer Wins Local Fishing Tournament Using Garmin
Recently, Garmin pro staff member Bob Laskey participated in a Southern Utah Bass Angler (SUBA) fishing tournament outside of St. George, Utah, at Gunlock Reservoir. With eleven 2-man teams, Bob and his partner knew they'd have their work cut out for them going against some pretty good local fishermen.
Equipped with an echoMAP 50dv, echoMAP 70dv and a GCV 10, they set out and had a great day of fishing. After everything was said and done, Bob and his partner won the tournament with a final weigh-in of 10lbs-7oz, edging out the next closest team by the narrowest margin of 1 oz! Bob's partner caught the biggest bass of the tournament at 5lbs-2oz and they both combined to catch some largemouth and smallmouth bass. They took home a cash prize, some nice hardware, additional prizes and, most importantly, bragging rights for the entire year!
