Peg’s Posts: Putting the 310XT through the paces at Patriot’s Run

Patriot's Run 001 Patriot's Run 002 Despite some recent IT band issues, Jake was at the start line with teammate Steph, primed for his 3-hour leg. Note the lovely socks at the end of Jake’s leg labeling him as a “Hottie”. Jake’s team, “Hot Fix”, pays respect to the fast satellite acquisition feature on our newer fitness devices. My team, “All for one, one Forerunner for all,” took a patriotic bent while promoting the fact that both teams passed a unique baton at the end of each relay leg — the Forerunner 310XT. By the end of the event, team “Hot Fix” had logged nearly 60 miles and team “All for one, one Forerunner for all” had logged about 55. And our Forerunner 310XTs had plenty of life left. Jake and I, not so much. I think running a 3-hour leg in the mid-day heat zapped me. Slightly different setup from my predawn long runs of late. Perhaps the next Forerunner will have built-in temp control. You never know what our engineers will roll out next.

As Jake heads off to Interbike next week, I just wanna say — we expect photos of those Hottie socks in action!
