Peg’s Posts: High marks for soft strap heart rate monitor

Though I’m currently not doing any heart rate-based workouts in my marathon training, it’s great to have the heart rate data to analyze and compare runs. When I sensed my heart rate was a little high recently, I was able to go back and compare runs of similar intensity and conditions to see if there was any cause for concern. What I found was that my HR average has been a bit higher, likely due to some hard workouts recently and being slightly sleep-deprived. So I’ll thank my HR monitor for the tips and take it easy the next few weeks as I taper toward marathon day, Oct. 17.
