Peg’s Posts – Gotta have sole

PegiconMidsole that is. Don’t wait for signs of tread wear before you spring for a new pair of running shoes. Replace your shoes every 350 – 550 miles, depending on your body weight and running surface. You don’t even have to do the math. Forerunner automatically stores your lap histories.

To view your total mileage on your Forerunner, select “run history” and then “history totals”. If you’re uploading your data to MotionBased.com, you can easily keep track of total mileage using the online training digest. From your digest page, click on “activity type,” then select or type in “run” for the filter and see your total mileage at the bottom.

ForerunnerscreenUse the comments section to note when you bought your shoes so you can refer back, kinda like the oil change sticker on your windshield. In the coming months, MotionBased will offer a “shoe tracker” feature that will allow you to track which pair of shoes you used on a run. Stay posted for that update. Want to extend the life of a sweet new pair of kicks? This should go without saying, but don’t wear them for walking the dog, going to the store, etc.
