Peg’s Posts: Girls on the Run still run, weather or not

Because it’s GPS-enabled, the 405 can track your distance, pace and whole host of data whenever and wherever you run. But if you’re indoors, it can’t connect with the GPS satellites. Many runners still want to track their training runs when they’re on the treadmill. Solution: pair your 405 with the optional foot pod accessory, which calculates your distance just as the GPS would when you’re running outdoors. Then you’ll still be able to track and store all of your run data and download to Garmin Connect. The only difference is you won’t have location/mapping data for those indoor runs. To find out more about indoor workouts with Forerunner 405, check out our training videos starring Jake. We recently produced a few new videos covering topics like using the 405 in bike mode and setting goals in Garmin Connect.
