Mix it up. If you’re a cycling fiend when it’s fair, take it inside when it’s freezing. Use Garmin devices with indoor capabilities (like the new Forerunner 210, FR60 or Forereunner 310XT) to record your workout or even pair with compatible gym equipment. Use the foot pod accessory to track your distance for treadmill or indoor track runs and upload your workouts to Garmin Connect.
Play tricks. When it’s cold out and you find it harder to crawl out of your cocoon every morning, try some of these little tricks: 1) Move the alarm clock so you actually have to get up to snooze it or silence it. 2) If you head to early classes at the gym and shower there afterward, pack your bag the night before. 3): If #2 doesn’t work, put your gym bag in the car the night before.
