RnR Phoenix 2011 021 RnR Phoenix 2011 022-sm When I had a little downtime between meetings, I made sure my supply of Forerunners would be ready for a group run the next morning. Before sunrise, we arrived at the hotel lobby to distribute loaner watches to the early birds who wanted to take one for a test run. We were impressed to find at least a dozen women on their first cup of coffee and ready to roll. After handing out watches and posing for a photo, our band of 30+ runners headed outside. A chorus of beep, beep, beeps ensued as timers were started and moving feet started a new rhythm. We headed to the nearby Arizona canal trail and settled into pockets of different paces. I moved from group to group, answering questions and chatting about their Girls on the Run experiences. We caught the first glimpses of a desert sunrise as we returned to the event hotel, refreshed and ready for a day of inspiring speakers and meetings. Check out our run in Garmin Connect.
