Oshkosh Day 2: Five Reasons to Visit Garmin at AirVenture!

EAA AirVenture 2014 kicked off yesterday and customers crowded the Garmin booth to see what we have to showcase this year. We have a larger tent packed full of new products, awesome VIRB video and a lot of exciting and innovative features we are more than happy to demo for you!  

So, what’s the buzz about? Below are Lucy’s “Top Five” reasons you need to visit Garmin at AirVenture this week:

1.   Connext

Wouldn’t it be great to use your tablet or phone (both iOS or select Android mobile devices) to wirelessly stream information to/from your airplane’s avionics – so your tablet’s touchscreen can serve as a true cockpit interface? That’s the capability we announced last week with Connext and we’re showing live demonstrations at the Garmin booth this week!

2.   G3X Touch

Also new to the Garmin family, the 7-inch G3X Touch display for experimental amateur-built and light sport aircraft! The new display compliments the existing 10.6-inch G3X Touch display, offering new panel design options and added redundancy.

3.   Garmin Pilot

As if Connext cockpit connectivity didn’t give you enough reason to come check out Garmin Pilot, we recently introduced a global version of Garmin Pilot! In addition to worldwide flight planning capabilities, comprehensive weather information and full-featured navigation, pilots have access to all they need within a single application. New features such as FastFind and Smart Airspace offer efficient flight planning and quick waypoint entry.

4.   VIRB

While you’re in our booth checking out of the latest and greatest we have to offer the avionics industry, it will be hard to miss the amazing video captured by VIRB, our HD action camera! VIRB Elite includes a high-sensitivity GPS for data stamping, which enables pilots to overlay data such as altitude, speed and g-forces within the video.
