nüvi Takes First Place in Routing Test

Dyhi What better way to test GPS routing, than to actually take the units out and see what they can do?  That’s exactly what the guys at GPS magazine thought, too. They wanted to know –all the bells and whistles aside– which GPS devices really have the best routing engine…so they put our nüvi 680 up against some of our leading competitors, and took off to various locations. After picking three routes of different lengths: the first around 80 miles, the second about 47 miles, and the third a short 3-mile trip, the GPS Mag crew compared each device on not only the length of miles traveled, but also the amount of time it took to reach the final destination.

The nüvi not only had the shortest time on all three routes, but it was also the only unit to tell the driver which side of the street their destination was on… making the Garmin nüvi 680 "the clear winner with the strongest routing engine!"  To see the full review, check it out here.
