Day one of NBAA 2008 is in the history books and day two is just beginning.  Traditionally, many NBAA attendees spend the first day at the convention center, the second day at static display, and the third day wrapping-up whatever they missed in-between.  If this blogger followed tradition, this post would be about the aircraft on static display, but there’s still more to tell about the convention center itself, so I’m going to ignore tradition for awhile and tell you more about the cool stuff in the convention hall…and this is also in part because I haven’t had a good chance to explore static display yet.

The first day at the show was a big success, and the Garmin booth was packed from opening to close. The G600 continues to be a crowd favorite, and many pilots have decided they can’t live without it. Those future G600 owners were also excited about a special program we launched this week where customers who purchase a G600 and other panel mount products can save up to $4,000 in rebates. That’s a fabulous deal, especially if you know you’re going to install the G600 in the near future. You’ll want to check our site for all the details about the promotion, but it’s one you won’t want to miss.   If you’re still trying to get up to speed about the G600 and its benefits, visit our G600 mini-site for more details. And of course, don’t forget to check out our Flickr site for more pictures from NBAA.
