My-Cast weather data on your iPhone
Got an iPhone or iPod Touch? If so, we have a new beta app for you to check out. My-Cast is a popular weather application for mobile phones that has been created by one of our subsidiaries. With it you can check current and predicted National Weather Service data for your immediate location, your travel destination, or virtually anywhere else in the continental U.S. My-Cast is much more than your typical phone weather app because it gives a moving map with NEXRAD data, lightning tracker, automatic alerts when a storm is within 20 miles of your current location, and a host of other features that you won’t want to live without.
We’ve been exploring what we can do given the unique capabilities of the iPhone and iPod Touch and we’d love for you to take a peek! The weather information has been formatted especially for the large touch-sensitive screen and the weather imagery feels familiar as it responds to panning and pinch zooming.
