METS Announcement: Meteor, gWind and Radars, oh my!
We are dedicated to providing the full fishing and boating solution and we’ve announced more products at METS to help complete that experience.
Garmin Meteor 300:
A day out on the water is supposed to be relaxing and fun. What better way to enjoy the day than having your favorite tunes playing in the background? With Garmin Meteor 300, you can bring your music with you.
Garmin Meteor 300 provides the unique feature of Bluetooth wireless capability so you can move freely around the boat while actively maintaining a connection for your music. While at the helm, an intuitive media bar allows for easy control of your media. Garmin Meteor 300 is compatible with iOS and Android devices and is compatible with the new GPSMAP 500 and 700 series and GPSMAP 6000 and 7000 series.
GMR 18/24 xHD Radome:
Our new line of next-generation dome radars offer a dynamic new look and implement open-array features and are available in 18 and 24 inches. They help provide a clear picture of the horizon and make operation simple to understand and use.
With a range of 48 nautical miles and a max speed of 48 rpm, you’re provided a more accurate representation of any obstructions or weather patterns. Vibrant 8-bit color shows more detail than ever and gives better insight to what’s ahead.
Dynamic Auto Gain and Dynamic Sea Filter allows the radar to continuously adjust to surroundings and various conditions to provide optimal performance wherever you are.
gWind Series:
For sailors and boaters of all kinds, we’re excited to announce a brand new series of wind transducers: the gWind Series. The gWind Series consists of gWind, a wired version of the wind transducer; gWind Wireless, a wireless transducer that provides easy installation and doesn’t require running cables up the mast; and gWind Race, a solution for competitive sailors that includes a 3’ straight pole that raises the transducer above the mast for reduced turbulence.
The unique twin fin design of the gWind Series provides extremely accurate wind data. And when coupled with the GND 10, Garmin and Nexus products work seamlessly with each other. Serving as a black box bridge, GND 10 links critical NMEA 2000 and Nexus Network data to allow Garmin chartplotters to display Nexus sail data and vice versa.
This full suite of Garmin marine products helps you have the best and safest time while out on the water. For more information on Garmin Meteor 300, the new GMR radar series or the gWind Series, click here.
