If you’re in the market for a portable GPS that has multiple interfaces and applications, the aera 500, 510, 550, or 560 might be your answer! The aera 500 series offers both an aviation and automotive interface, which comes in handy when you find yourself at your $100 hamburger destination. While the crew car might be a 1984 Celebrity, rest assured that your brand new aera 500 GPS will get you to and from the nearest restaurant and back up in the air, as quick as possible.

The GPSMAP 695/696 is perfect for the Instrument rated pilot, looking to have a large, moving-map display in his or her aircraft. It also qualifies as a Class1/Class 2 Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) allowing pilots to view Instrument Approach Charts in flight. The 695/696 also geo-references your aircraft directly onto the IAP’s, displaying your aircraft position on the chart as you fly the approach.

Also qualifying as an electronic flight bag, the aera 795/796 offers the ability to view geo-referenced approach charts on a touch screen platform. The aera 795/796 features 3D Vision, displaying a 3D view of terrain and other features as they appear outside the aircraft, enhancing situational awareness.

Although our aviation portables won’t even out your tan lines, they all offer unique features that allow you to navigate safely to your destination and if you’re lucky, help you navigate through the Sierra Madre’s enroute to Puerto Vallarta!
