Nowadays, it seems like we can’t get away from distribution lists, whether it be via e-mail, snail mail or the dreaded telemarketing phone call. About two years ago at a local hunting and fishing store, I was offered the opportunity to sign up to win a vacation or a whole list of other “prizes.” I was wandering around aimlessly, so apparently I was a good target. It probably goes without saying, the only “prize” I won was a weekly phone call from a cruise line that graciously blasts a cruise ship horn at the beginning of the call.

But I realize that there are some times when we want to be on distribution lists and we want to be contacted. One such case is with regard to service alerts. Many of you have requested email notifications of service alerts specific to your Garmin aviation panel mount and integrated flight deck equipment. And now Garmin offers a solution where you can get service alerts sent right to your email inbox. To sign up, click here.

Simply scroll down along the right hand side of the page and enter your e-mail address in the field provided and click ‘Subscribe.’ You may also access these service alerts without subscribing, via the flyGarmin homepage.

Every time a new service alert is posted to the site, you will receive an e-mail addressing any potential safety concerns specific to your Garmin equipment. For additional information regarding service advisories or alerts, please contact your Garmin Authorized Dealer.

While we won’t register you to win a fancy vacation or aggravate you with a weekly phone call, you can be confident that you are receiving the most up-to-date information regarding your Garmin aviation panel mount products.
