Lucy’s Logbook: Amendment to your flight plan? Arrivals made easy with Garmin!

LNKArrival

Maybe you’re anticipating the receipt of an arrival (unlike Lucy!) and choose to file using the arrival of your choice, prior to departure. Enter in the departure airport identifier in your Garmin, select the ‘PROC’ key, select ‘Arrival’, and then enter in your destination airport identifier in the appropriate field. Choose the arrival from the provided list and the destination airport will automatically populate at the end of the arrival. Using this method of loading an arrival prevents the destination airport from being listed twice within the flight plan, as illustrated in the KLNK-KMCI example.

I certainly hope I am not alone in my now public admission to flying direct (almost) everywhere! And more importantly, I hope I’ve provided some clarity as it relates to loading arrivals into your Garmin!
