Jake’s Journal: New Colorado handhelds offer fresh perspective
As a huge fan of hiking Rocky Mountain National Park and relaxing in Estes Park, I couldn’t help but be excited with the name of our newest family of outdoor handhelds. The name Colorado strikes a chord with anyone who has ever ventured into the beautiful state and explored the richness of its natural resources. We go to Colorado to de-stress while tackling new adventures. And whether you’re talking about the 300, the 400t (topo maps), 400c (coastal charts) or 400i (inland lakes, rivers) – Garmin’s new Colorado series embodies those experiences.
The innovative Rock ‘n Roller input device puts the world under your thumb. The vivid imagery of the shaded basemap or detailed topographic data leaves other handhelds in the dust. And I could go on for hours about the introduction of paperless geocaching and Wherigo, the newest activity from the geocaching gurus at Groundspeak. Watch our introductory video to learn more, and then check out Wherigo.com to find out how you can be among the first to try Wherigo on the Colorado. And if you’re in Vegas, swing by our CES booth #35832 and say hi.
