GPSMAP 496 Winner
Norman Y. of Red Oak, Iowa, is the proud new owner of a new GPSMAP 496. Norman was one of many who entered our GPSMAP 496 contest and he won. Congrats!
When we contacted Norman to tell him the good news, he told us a little about his airplane and other Garmins. He currently owns a 1969 Cessna 210, which has a basic IFR panel. Norman also owns two Garmin handhelds — a GPSMAP 396 and a GPSMAP 295 — that he uses for situational awareness, as well as when he is flight instructing. According to Norman, “We fly out West 3-4 times a year and really appreciate all the information the GPS gives us.” When talking about the GPSMAP 396, he said he “really appreciates the weather features.”
