Garmin’s Team Papotanic in Striking Distance of Southern Kingfish Championship

Photo (2)We're proud to report that our Team Papotanic has had a nice run this summer in the Southern Kingfish Association's Professional Tour.  Piloted by pro angler Bill Platt (and a full suite of networked Garmin devices), the team is in second place in division 7.  That's due in part to a great showing at Orange Beach, Alabama with a 50-pound fish and an impressive three fish aggregate of 141 pounds.  That puts them in fifth place overall, with the Championship in Biloxi, Mississippi beginning in November.

"With hard work and a little luck, we should be right up there," says Platt.  "The Garmins we're using have certainly been a part of our success on the water this year."

Outfitted with dual GPSMAP 7215's, a GMR 604xHD radar, and a GSD 26 sonar, the fish have nowhere to hide.  Good luck in the Championship, Team Papotanic!
