Garmin runners rocked it at Little Rock

5d FinishersCongrats to Garmin runners Sunita, Steve and DaShaun for completing the Little Rock Marathon on Sunday and scoring big bling while having a great time all around. Sunita, who seeks fun places to run ‘round the world, ran Little Rock with a friend Meghan who was running her very first marathon and Meghan’s fiancé Joji. From Sunita: It was great seeing so many participants dressed up in their disco gear—from silver tights to sequined skirts to Elvis wigs to a zebra. Little Rock really came out to spectate and cheer us on. Even the governor was outside his mansion cheering. And oh yeah, the medals were worth it! From Joji: I don’t think I ever would have done a half marathon without my Forerunner, let alone a half Ironman or marathon. It’s the motivational tool that is always with me. His one word to describe his first marathon is “Accomplished.” Meghan’s one word to describe her first marathon is “Great.”

In fact, Steve sliced a full 38 minutes off his previous best from a marathon this past October. From Steve: I credit my success today to Coach Eladio Valdez of Runner’s Edge, and also to a Garmin coworker and Boston finisher who pushed me to increase my mileage. See their run results below in Garmin Connect. This Garmin duo even gave an early Oz welcome to Bart Yasso, who was emcee at Little Rock and will be our special guest for the April 21 Garmin Marathon In the Land of Oz. Come run the full with Bart or go for the Wickedly Fast Half or the Dorothy Dash 5k. If there’s a BQ on your bucket list, this flat and fast marathon course in Garmin’s backyard could be your ticket. You’ll be guided by the best pace team in town, using Forerunner 210 devices + Coach Eladio’s SmartPacing strategy. Register today for the Garmin Marathon In the Land of Oz. Ruby red racing flats are welcome!
